Robert Mann attended architectural college in Leeds, England, graduating with a masters in architecture. After several years practicing in England, a move to Charlotte, NC involved him in several successful commercial architectural firms, honing his skills in all aspects of professional practice: design and construction documents, field supervision, site development, space planning, and interiors. He fulfilled a dream, moving to Banner Elk, NC to pursue his burning desire to create highly customized homes in a mountain vernacular.

As of July 1, 2021, Attic Design, PLLC will become Attic Design, LLC. After 43 years as a licensed architect, Bob is retiring his and the firm's license to perform commercial architectural services. He will now concentrate on custom residential work
